Lhotse Face
Mt Lhotse is one of the 14 8000+m mountains in the world. While not climbing to its summit, we climb its face to our Camp 3. Because it is relatively steep - probably 60° in places, the camps are cut into the face from about 7000m to 7300m - ours will be at 7300m. From here we traverese across the face to the yellow band (a rock layer at around 8000m on those 14 mountains) and then across to the Geneva Spur before wandering into the South Col, otherwsie known as Camp 4......
